Philly’s Kurt Vile really proved himself with his latest album, Smoke Ring for My Halo where he crafted an intricate and beautiful album that has the ability to move people.
But that ability doesn’t get left at the studio — Vile brings it on stage. The long-haired prodigy rocked this years South by Southwest calmly but with a wall-of-sound. He sounds even more like Lou Reed live, which to me, is increasingly impressive.
