“Can’t Keep” by Eddie Vedder (Seattle, 2003)

One of my favorite artists is Eddie Vedder — not only does he produce great music, but he constantly pushes himself into new artistic realms.

This year, his album Ukelele Songsas Victor Koressel rightly pointed out – was pretty polarizing release. Listening to one of the creator’s of grunge rock on on a small Hawaiian instrument means you’re probably either going to love it or hate it, with little space in between.

For me, I’m with the former. Vedder put himself into uncharted waters, and came out with interesting and beautiful results.

So for this week’s (newly revitalized) Live Video of the Week, watch Vedder jam out to “Can’t Keep” in a live session, and as commenter javahere points out on another session, listen to how big of a sound he can get out of those four strings.
